Studying is just wasting Xbox time

An hilarious quote, if not pathetically true. Over 8 hours a day spent on watching the tube, according to this story.  The youngster quoted above said he pays attention as hard as possible in class so he can spend less time studying and more time playing XBox at home.

If that kid isn't fat yet, give him a year--he will be.  Let's face it--obese kids are now the norm, rather than the exception, which is the opposite of when I was in school.  We had Nintendo and Atari, but we also had parents who forced us to get our butts outside.

Parents--you're 99% responsible for how fat or how fit your kids are.  If your kid has Type II diabetes, blood pressure problems, self-esteem issues stemming from their obesity, guess what--you're at fault.  Don't let your kids eat junk food, don't let the go a day without playing...vigorously.

And if you're heavy too, get down with them and play along.  There are 24 hours in a day, you work 8-12 of them.  That leaves 8 for sleep and 4 for play.   And I don't mean XBox play.
